Any content item can be selected from any of the 4 seated locations and when selected the system automatically sends the content to the user’s position. Visitors can view each piece of media at their own pace via separate on screen video controls. The system is even smart enough to prevent users at different locations from interfering with the controls of others and limits audio spill with a sound positioning and filtering system.

The Mixing Room, located at Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, is a multi-user social experience where over 70 young refugees tell their extraordinary stories – through art, film, poetry, performance and digital media. They invite you to view their joys and difficulties as they settle into a new way of life in New Zealand.
There are three separate tables, each with a different theme; Challenges Connections and Freedom.
